The multi-family residential buildings at MAB underwent comprehensive renovation, with Miguel Hastings commissioned to redesign the entrance and arrival sequence extending from the entry gate to the central clubhouse. Responding to Opa-Locka's Moorish architectural context, the design reinterprets the traditional garden rill and fountain as a contemporary landscape gesture. Drifts of white Cloud Muhly grass suggest the movement of water between formal hedgerows of Green Island Ficus, culminating at the clubhouse within a framework of Royal Palms and Italian Cypress.
